Re: Tin Star
Some things are better left shrouded in mystery imo.

When films/TV keep making sequels to "explain" stuff its sometimes a disaster

Gotta continue, surely? Too many unanswered questions re North Stream Oil and their background

Re: Tin Star
I was thinking that cuppa.

It kind of reminded me of Fortitude. Cold weather, same sort of pacing, bit creepy etc. Now series 1 of Fortitude was brilliant, however series 2 was (imo) fucking awful and OTT. Hoping it isn't a repeat of that. Sometimes it's best to leave things as they are, if that makes sense.

Re: Tin Star
Not going to spoil it for those that have not completed watching it but do you think it will continue in to a 2nd series? I think there is scope for it

Re: Tin Star
Grumpster

I heard someone saying recently that's happening as a function of two things... one being that largely British actors are cheaper than their american counterparts, and the second is that in the main we produce better trained actors

No idea how true that is

Brits are taking over in Hollywood. Tons of them getting loads of good gigs at the moment.

2 episodes in, am enjoying it a lot.

If you like Tim Roth have a watch of Mr Right.

Excellent film in which Roth (not in the main role) is very good.

Re: Tin Star
I'm guilty of binge watching this too, finished it yesterday

Bloody good and a good ending too, does not disappoint!

One thing to mention, I love the fact that when an englishman says "FUCK OFF" it carries so much more gravity than a yank or anyone else for that matter.

It's a weapon when said with an english accent.

Trev watched it all over the last week and now I know, I'm just impatient

"Can someone explain why the young English guy wants to kill Roth"

You could try watching the series and you will find out? Just a thought NB ;-)

Re: Tin Star
Just watched the first 2 episodes - looks very good so far.

One of the best lines I've heard is "We'll stand out like cocks in a cunts festival."

And there was a Snodgrass Funeral Home so it is West Ham related.

Finished them all on demand on SKY yesterday. Watched 7 in one sitting. Pretty good, reminded me a bit of Twin Peaks as it was a little weird but compelling viewing
